Conservation Films UK
I create conservation films for charities, trusts and environmental organisations across the UK. The focus is clear storytelling, natural sound and film sequences that show the real work happening on the ground. Ideal for habitat restoration projects, species recovery, volunteer action and education.
Why Conservation Films Matter
Most organisations struggle to show the impact of their work. A clear, well-structured film helps attract funding, engage supporters and explain complex ecological work to the public. My approach keeps the visuals clean, the message simple and the story grounded in the actual habitat.
How I Work
I live full-time on a narrowboat along the Oxfordshire and Cotswold waterways. This gives me continuous access to river, stream and wetland habitats, allowing multiple visits and patient filming. I work quietly and with minimal disturbance, using hides, long-lens setups and natural sound to produce calm, authentic footage.
Project Types
Chalk stream and river restoration Rewilding and habitat recovery Species monitoring and behaviour Volunteer and community action days Education and interpretation films Stakeholder or grant reporting updates
What Your Film Can Include
Field footage captured across seasons Wildlife behaviour sequences when possible Interviews or narrated explanation Volunteer, community and project activity Before-and-after documentation Delivery for web, social and events
Wildlife Integration
Where projects involve local wildlife, I film supporting sequences that show the surrounding fauna and natural behaviour. This can include birds, mammals, fish and invertebrates, depending on habitat and season. These elements add context and depth to your conservation story without distracting from your core message.
Pricing
Conservation films typically start at £1,500. Costs scale based on filming days, wildlife requirements, locations and editing needs. Smaller charities and trust projects can be scoped to fixed budgets.
Next Steps
If you have an upcoming conservation project, habitat story or community event that needs a clear, engaging film, I can help shape the brief and define a realistic scope.
